Samsung has held an event in Milan in which it has presented its new Galaxy A family in full. In it, some models had been announced, such as the Samsung Galaxy A50 we already analyzed, and new ones such as the spectacular Samsung Galaxy A80. This model is the first of the signature with a rotating camera, but not the first with a mobile element. We tell you what we found in first impressions on video.
A Very Striking Design
The first thing that stands out when looking at the Galaxy A80 is that its screen has no clipping. This makes it match up to higher-end mobiles such as theXiamoi Mi MIX 3 or the OPPO Find X. In hand, it feels something big and heavy, but it is normal considering that its diagonal is 6.7 inches. The frames of it are very contained on all four sides and integrate very well in the polished metal edge that houses the buttons on the sides and also the connectors. These are below, being the speaker, the USB C port, and the SIM slot. And this is relevant; there is no MicroSD slot, just as there is no 3.5 mm jack.
A CameraThatMakes YouTurnYourHead
Rumors spoke of a camera system in this A80 like none we have seen before in the brand. And so it has been. Samsung has chosen to implement a rotation system that makes the camera can be used as a front camera, which makes it a perfect mobile for selfies. This is something they have highlighted in the presentation, making references to content creators on Instagram and other social spaces.
The main sensor has 48 Mpx but has a f / 2.0 aperture somewhat sparse, and although in the few tests we have done, it does not seem to falter in low light it is possible that it lacks detail in these scenes.
