Low Power Wide Area Network (LPWAN), Low Power Wide Area Network (LPWA) or Low Power Network (LPN) is a type of wireless broadband network designed to enable remote communication with low bit rates between things and connected objects such as sensors and batteries. The mission of LORA Alliance is to standardize wide area networks (LPwan) that can be used worldwide to enable the Internet of Things (IoT) and Machine to Machine (M2M) in smart cities and industrial applications.
