Former HP chief Fiorina has announced that she is going to run for senate as a Republican from the state of California. She is regarded as a star in the Silicon Valley and she was the ‘man’ behind HP taking over Compaq. She had to leave HP in 2005 with a $21 million severance package.
Fiorina appeared on the national political scene for the first time as senior advisor to the Republican presidential candidate McCain in 2008. The major problems highlighted by her are ‘too few jobs for Americans and too much spending in Washington’.
Chief Executive and chairman of Boeing has been nominated in the board of International Business Machines (IBM). According to CEO Samuel Palmisano James McNerney has ‘decades of experience running complex, global enterprises’.
