Year 2010 is on the verge of horizon and its packed with surprises. Many of our most anticipated things will be launched this year.
We sincerely hope it turns out to be a great year.
1. Google will launch Chrome OS
Google’s Chrome OS will aim directly at the Market Giant, Microsoft Windows. Google has promised that the new OS will deliver better and sleek performance and it would be better than the competing operating systems.
If their claims turn out to be true then there will be a forever split between Windows fans and Chrome OS fans. We are not considering Mac here as a competitor as its user base is very limited.

2. Start of Tablet wars with iPad’s introduction !
Many people are anxiously waiting for Apple iPad (or iTablet, whatever you like to call it). Lots of hopes are with iPad as our Steve has himself devoted years of his life to this project.
iPad would be a great tablet, easy to use and carry around. We predict that it will start a new era of Tablet PC wars. Many models will be released by other manufacturers to counter it.
As it is said, Tablets will be Laptops of tomorrow and Laptops will serve as desktops of tomorrow.

3. Microsoft Project Natal will change your perceptions forever !
Do you guys know about Microsoft Project Natal? Its an upcoming revolution in gaming and entertainment industry. Don’t agree with me?
Just see this video and stop complaining..
Most probably Project Natal will be released in October 2010.
4. Windows Mobile 7 will be unleashed.
Windows Mobile 7 is the upcoming great mobile OS by Microsoft. While many of you might not have used Windows Mobile line of devices, but those who have just love them because of its absolute freedom to do everything. the key features of WinMo 7 will be.
- An improved Graphical User Interface (GUI)
- Support for 16 million colors
- Multi touch support
- Capacitive touch Support
- Added Features
- Higher resolution than FWVGA (854 x 480)
- Nvidia Tegra Processor base
5. Release of Iron Man 2
We all loved the original Iron Man when it topped our highest expectations. Now the Arc Reactor powered guy is coming back, with more action and thrill.
6. A New Age of portable mobile devices
Year 2010 will certainly bring us huge surprises in the form of Mobile devices. Observing the latest trends we can predict that 2010 Mobile devices will be capable of
- High resolution sharp and crispier AMOLED or OLED screens (OLED – Organic Light Emitting Diode)
- Projectors embedded in Mobile devices (pocket projectors are already available)
- Faster processors (currently Snapdragon with 1 Ghz clock speed is the fastest mobile processor available on HTC HD2 and Toshiba TGo1)
- Better Gaming experience with better Graphic acceleration chips (we hope Nvidia Tegra or better)
Ubuntu 9 will release in the fall of 09, Ubuntu 10 in the spring.
Wine is only up to 1.0.1 officially, but 1.0.x is up to x=30, and doing rather well. I have run Spore on it, and there are screen shots of Warcraft using it.
Ubuntu is getting more user friendly.
All wonder and delight and terror and trouble. Much more than these operating systems will be the stars of ’10.

Hey is it just me or are the screenshots for ChromeOS actually ripped from the gOS project? (note: gOS is a Linux distribution based off of Ubuntu and not in any way affiliated with Google)

I’m a Apple fan… but that fucking Microsoft Courier looks like EXACTLY what I would want in a device like that. If the iPad/iTablet/iFartingStick is just basically the iPhone OS on a bigger screen…. I think I might be buying a Microsoft device for once.

A processor is not a “feature” of an OS. Like previous WinMo versions they will not lock it to one specific brand of chip. Other ARM chips such as Snapdragon will also be powering WinMo 7 devices. Besides, WinMo 7 will be playing catchup to iPhone, Android and even Maemo operating systems.

Windows Mobile 7 Chassis 1 requirements clearly state Nvidia Tegra as a base requirement.So it can be regarded as a feature of OS.
